Extremecover.com
is participating in Freeride Video awards and "Vast
awards 2006" - which is the biggest freeskii
movie contest in the world! Our contribution called
"Destination sweden" describes the lack
of attention that the sport gets in Sweden and why
it should be more accepted. This film concentrates
on jibbing , and why the Swedish media should accept
it more. Sweden produces alot of internationally known
riders, and we should be proud of that. Unfortunately,
the Swedish media only shows Alpine skiing in the
news, we didn't even hear of Jon Olsson when he came
third in the x-games final, which could be compared
with the winter olympics..
Since everything we do is with non profits, competitions
like this is the only way to try to get some kind
of credit back for the work we do. The Freeride Video
awards & Vast awards are full of professional
produced films by big filmcompanies, but we hope to
fight against them with our contribution and hopefully
our videos purpose will be spread to alot of people.
Our goal is to make the sport bigger, and be a part
of the development. That is more important than just
doing a pure skiimovie, in our opinions. We have a
goal, and it is to make the sport bigger!
