Our
first project is already in progress. It will be a documentary
about the lifestyle around snowboard & skiing. The Swedish
media, which generally still is ruled by the older generation,
have a tendency to dislike the new twig of the "sportsworld";
extreme sports. People suddenly starts to act and look different,
and instead of doing the courses we are doing the parks.
Extremesports is not accepted as a "serious" sport
in Sweden yet. A snowboarder with big clothes that jumps
over a train could easily be connected to drugs and alcohole
by our older generation. However, what they still don't
know, is that this guy might have trained alot
for this jump, and went to bed early the day before.
The Swedish population is also very clearly updated with
the results from the alpine team, big as small events, we
still see them on TV. What they don't show is Swedes that
makes it to the podium in the American x-games, which
can be compared with a final in the world championships
within the alpine skiing. Sweden produces alot of internationally
known skiiers and snowboarders, and we should be proud of
that!
Our mission with this documentary is to show Swedish media
what extremesport really is, and make them accept it.
